Welcome to Registration for 2023-2024

As summer winds down, it is time to start thinking about getting ready for the new school year. One item that needs your attention is Fall Registration. There are six steps that you need to complete in order to register your child.

Important Information

Student schedules will be released at 3:00pm on August 1st.
There are six registration steps that need to be completed in order to view your child's schedule:

1. Pay or make arrangements to pay registration fees.
2. Verify, correct, & sign the Student Information Form.
3. Parent/guardian & student accept all school and district policies on myDSD.
4. Fill out the online McKinney-Vento form
5. Student Services Resources Survey
6. Review optional registration items

Activity (registration) fees are due August 11th; please complete the 6-step process below by August 11th.
Activity (registration) fees need to be paid by August 28th.
All registration must be done online. ***Paper registration packets are not available***
For those without internet access, computer access is available in the Main Office during regular office hours. The main office is open for summer hours from 8:00am-2:00pm Monday through Friday except holidays.

Follow the list below to complete your registration for the 2023-24 school year.

6-Step Registration

Step 1: Pay Fees

Complete ONE of the following fee payment options:

Option 1: Pay your fees online
- Fees can be paid online through myDSD (opens in a new tab). Fees can only be paid using a web browser to access myDSD. The mobile app cannot be used to pay fees.

Option 2: Turn in a Payment Plan Contract (requires a 25% down payment [$8])
- Fill out a Payment Plan Contract and return it and the 25% down payment to the Main Office.

To ensure that no student is denied the opportunity to participate in programs, courses, or activities because of the inability to pay, you can find information on fee waivers and qualifications here.

Option 3: Fill out a Fee Waiver Application
- Fee waiver forms are available.
- Print and deliver completed forms and verification to Char Mills in the WXHS main office.
- Please contact Ms. Mills with any fee waiver questions.

Digital Device Insurance	$25.00	Must be paid by August 31, 2023, or within two weeks of device issue. Additional information regarding the DSD Device Protection Plan (Spanish version) is available.
Parking Permit	$5.00/Semester	Permits are only available to juniors and seniors without unresolved school citizenship issues. Permits must be displayed on the vehicle mirror.

Policy Review and Acceptance

There are several key policies that need to be reviewed and accepted digitally. These policies are found in myDSD.

Instructions:

Log on to myDSD. This will take you to the "Student Information System."
Click on the "Tools" tab on the top of the page and select "Sign Documents" from the drop-down menu.
Review each policy and click the green "Accept" button.

**Note, these policies must be accepted online. Computers are available daily, during office hours, for anyone without internet access. Wireless Hotspots are available via application in MyDSD\tools.**

Each State educational agency shall ensure that each child of a homeless individual and each homeless youth has equal access to the same free, appropriate public education, as provided to other children and youths. Davis School District has the responsibility to inform any homeless student of the services they are eligible to receive.

Child Find Notice

Davis School District is responsible for Child Find identification and evaluation for all students suspected of having a disability residing in Davis County. If your child is having significant difficulty with vision, hearing, speech, behavior, is experiencing slow development typical for his/her age, physical development or learning difficulty, he/she may be a child with a disability that requires specialized instruction through special education. If you suspect that your school age child may have a disability, please contact the school Special Education representative Casey Plowman or the special education department at 801-402-4500.

Online Learning Opportunities

Davis School District students now have the opportunity to utilize online education as part or all of their schooling experience. Click the following link for more information: Online Education Options

Please note, if a student chooses to do any or all of their classes through the Davis Online Education, they will not be able to drop the online courses and return to WXHS until each term break.

Financial Aid For Concurrent Enrollment Classes

Parking Permit

Parking at Woods Cross High School is a privilege for juniors and seniors who choose to drive to school. Unfortunately, there are a limited number of parking spaces on campus. For this reason, parking hang tags will be sold to senior and junior students only. Any sophomore parking on school grounds during school hours (7:00 AM - 2:30 PM) will receive a citation and may lose future parking privileges. All vehicles parked on school property must apply for a permit (opens in a new tab) with the school and must properly display a current hang tag in the front windshield. The cost of a parking permit is $5.00 per semester.

NOTE: A student will not receive a new parking pass if they have any unpaid parking tickets or unresolved citizenship Us from last year.

Schedules will be available for viewing on August 1st after 3:00pm through MyDSD. Schedule change requests will be available from August 1, 2023 at 3:00 PM.

We are looking forward to the return of our students on August 17, 2023. School Breakfast will be served daily. Buses will run on the regular schedule.

Student ID & Yearbook Picture Days

August 28th & 29th During English Class

Students will have their photograph taken on August 28th & 29th during their assigned English class. This photograph will be used for an ID card and the yearbook whether or not you choose to pay for a picture package. If your student does not sit for a portrait, he or she will not be in the yearbook.

Schedule Changes

Schedules will be released on August 1, 2023 after 3:00 PM.

The deadline for schedule change requests is August 8, 2023.

Sophomore Wildcat Welcome

Wildcat Welcome for incoming sophomores and new students will be held August 10th from 5:30-7:30 PM. Students are welcome to take a tour of the school. Each student will receive a t-shirt.
