Hello Parents,

It has been a wonderful week at Woods Cross High School! We had a visit by the AdvancEd accreditation team on Tuesday. They were very complimentary about the learning they observed in classrooms. We hosted NextStep Night on Wednesday with industry, universities and military organizations providing information to students and parents. It was a great event!

We are nearing the end of our fall sports. Congratulations to girls soccer and boys golf for representing WX well this year. Girls tennis state competition continues tomorrow. Volleyball had a great win over Bountiful High last night, and we have a football game tonight at Viewmont. Region cross country is tonight. Good luck, athletes!

Next year lacrosse will be a sanctioned sport in Davis School District. In the meantime, we are happy to support our Woods Cross students who compete at the club level. If you are interested in watching them in their last fall game, it will be at the U of U practice field on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10:00 am.

The fall concert season is upon us. Check the bulletin and school calendar for dates and times. Please come support our music groups.

See the bulletin below for next week’s events. Note that Fall Recess is Oct. 17 and 18. No school will be held.

Hello Parents,

It is homecoming week, and we have had great events so far! We have a dedicated group of student officers. The homecoming football game with Farmington is tonight in Wildcat Stadium. Students get in free with their ID badge. Other fans may purchase tickets online for any home football game. https://dsdgive.net/event/467 Bring your receipt to the gate to avoid the ticket lines.

The homecoming dance is Saturday, Sept. 21 from 8-10 pm at the school. Students will be required to show their ID badge. (For this event we will allow a picture of their entire ID badge on their phones.) Students from another Davis District School who are coming with a Woods Cross student will also need to show their student ID. We want all our students to have a fun, safe time.

Please remind your students to wear their ID badge every day. Stopping in the office to get a barcode sticker takes time from class. After 4 days of not wearing their badges, students will be fined 50 cents/day beginning September 24.

We want to ensure we have updated contact information in our system in the event of an emergency. Please go to my.DSD login-Academics dropdown menu-reports-student information-student information form. If there are changes to be made, please print the document, make the changes and sign it. Send it to cmills@dsdmail.net, or have your student bring it to the main office. We can print the form in the main office if you do not have access to a printer.

There is no school on Monday, September 23 for professional day.

Midterm grades will be available in my.DSD on September 28. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, September 30 from 3:00-6:45 pm in the WXHS commons. Please join us!

See the bulletin below, and have a great weekend!
