2026 SUMMER DRIVER EDUCATION

Woods Cross High School – Davis School District

IN-PERSON CLASSROOM (MANDATORY)

• June 16–26, 2026 – 9 days, 3 hrs/day.

• Session 1 (AM): 8–11 AM (42 students max)

• Session 2 (PM): 3–6 PM (42 students max)

• Location: Woods Cross High School – Room #105

ONLINE COURSEWORK

• June 20 (Saturday) & June 30–July 3 (Canvas)

• All work due July 3. No late work.

• Attendance mandatory. Missing one day = failing.

• Passing score: 80% or higher

REGISTRATION

• Opens Monday, March 2 at 7:30 AM (online only) Links will be activated on registration day

• First come, first served. Permit # + issue date required.

• Cost: $200 (No refunds after May 22)

LEARNER PERMIT REQUIRED BEFORE REGISTERING

• Pass DLD written test (80%+)

• Bring birth certificate, Social Security card, parent/guardian to the DLD.

• $19 DLD fee

• Permit must be held 6 months before licensing

DRIVING (BEHIND THE WHEEL)

Scheduled July 2026 (4 hours of Simulation, 4 hours of Range driving, 3 hours of road, 6 hours of observation)

• Sign-up during class; school-year options available as well.  Road test will also be provided.

CREDIT

• Course provides 0.25 high school credit (Davis District) Will post on grade after first semester.
